Sailors First Night On The Town

Georg Kajanus inspired us all with his music and most of all with his original concept for the band he eventually named Sailor.
This photo comes from the first concept shoot based round the music which later became our first album.

Sailors out on the town , haggling with the pimp over ladies of the night.
The Sailors are Phil Pickett ,Grant Serpell and myself ... The pimp is Georg and the hookers are our wives !!

One song : A Sailor's Night On The Town , started it all . Grant fell in love with the sound and a whole new approach was pursued by four guys who had previously been entrenched in 70's rock.
The photographs of me leading up to this one give a clear indication of the transformation that I went through!
