Wooing Atlanta The Hard Way
1995 Atlanta .
This picture captures one of the many ridiculous situations Barry and I invariably found ourselves in.
We were persuaded by someone to entertain the wealthy and gracious in the palatial gardens of mansions throughout Atlanta. These homes were magnificent edifices akin to those seen in Gone With The Wind.
On this occasion, it was a luncheon followed by Barry accompanied by myself ,singing a medley of his hits , including Delilah , The Last Waltz and Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes , all big hits in the USA.
It was a very hot day and I think we both retired with sunstroke and indigestion , which means no doubt that we too were gone with the wind by the end of the day.
I'm not sure whether these efforts influenced ticket sales of One Last Summer , but that's show business.
